August 19, 2011:

This September, Saskatoon’s Тут і Там is touring Eastern Canada, performing at the Montreal Ukrainian Festival September 9-11 and Bloor West Village Toronto Ukrainian Festival September 16-18.

Тут і Там (pronounced Toot ee Tahm) performs a unique and progressive style of Ukrainian folk music. Hailing from Saskatoon, the five-piece band has taken Canada by storm, playing at Vegreville’s Pysanka Festival, Malanka in the Mountains

Mountains in Jasper, Saskatoon’s Vesna Festival, Canada’s National Ukrainian Festival in Dauphin, and Plast Malanka in Toronto.

Each member has an extensive background in many varied styles of music, which when fused together creates Тут і Там’s signature sound. Their latest album (affectionately known as the ”white album”) was released in 2010 and is the natural result of a decade of performing together. Stacked with three-part harmonies and masterful instrumental work, the third album follows in the tradition of the band’s first two releases and recalls the energy of their hits Лемко (Lemko), Ой Болить м'я головонька (My Head’s Killing Me), and Два Дубки (2 Oaks). Тут і Там’s creative arrangements and sincere musicality transcend the studio and contribute to their dynamic live shows.

Тут і Там is John Dickinson, Matt Gruza, Carissa Klopoushak, Mark Klopoushak, and Steve Kodak.
